2024 Holiday Book Drive

This December, Project LEARN is excited to launch its Annual Holiday Book Drive, running from December 9th to 13th! The goal is to collect books that will be donated to students and families across the Lowell community, spreading the joy of reading during the holiday season.

Project LEARN is proud to lead this initiative, aiming to provide children of all ages with books they can enjoy and learn from. Books open doors to imagination, knowledge, and adventure, and we want to ensure that every child in Lowell has the opportunity to experience this—especially during the holidays, a time for giving.

What We’re Looking For

We are collecting new or used books for readers of all ages, from young children to young adults. We welcome donations of all types, such as:

  • Picture books for young children.

  • Chapter books for elementary and middle school students.

  • Young adult novels, memoirs, and nonfiction.

We also welcome books in any language to reflect Lowell’s diverse community, where families speak a variety of languages at home. Donating books in multiple languages helps ensure that everyone can enjoy the books in a way that resonates with their culture and linguistic background.

How to Donate

We’ve made it easy for anyone to participate in the Holiday Book Drive:

  1. Drop Off Books at Project LEARN Headquarters: From December 9th to 13th, drop off books at 58 Prescott St., Lowell between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.. Our team will ensure that every book reaches a student or family in need.

  2. Amazon Wishlist Donations: For those who can’t drop off in person, we’ve created an Amazon wishlist. You can purchase a book, and it will be shipped directly to us. This is an easy, convenient way to support the drive from anywhere.

Drop-Off Event at Sullivan Middle School: We are partnering with Sullivan Middle School for a special drop-off event on December 12th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.. This is a great opportunity to drop off books, meet the Project LEARN team, and support Lowell youth directly.
