This December, Project LEARN is excited to launch its Annual Holiday Book Drive, running from December 9th to 13th! The goal is to collect books that will be donated to students and families across the Lowell community, spreading the joy of reading during the holiday season.

Dozens of students were given the opportunity to show off the work they did this summer through Project LEARN's Summer Internship Program in a showcasing event at MCC's Morse Federal Building, where all of the students were also gifted with laptops by AT&T.

We partnered with Lowell High School earlier to host our 5th annual Career Speaker Week! Thanks to our amazing community, this was our largest event to date with 90 professionals speaking to nearly 80 classrooms!

IDEA Camp is back this summer with exciting, hands-on STEM workshops for students in grades 5-12. During the in-person workshops, students will have a week full of fun, teamwork, and essential skill development.

The need for experiential learning and skill building opportunities has never been greater, and your contribution ensures our programs remain both sustainable and accessible to all Lowell Public Schools students.

Last month, mural artists and longtime pals Felipe Ortiz and Adam O’Day shared their lived experiences to a packed room of Lowell High and UMass Lowell art students at Project LEARN’s Youth Innovation Space, days after finishing their mural, “The Bee.”

On October 19th, 2023 100 Lowell High School students were surprised with free laptops, thanks to a partnership between Project LEARN and AT&T.

At Project LEARN’s 10th anniversary celebration on September 27th, 2023, the voices of young people were in full force.

Over the course of 2 weeks in July 2023, 8 Lowell High students and their educator installed a mural on the side of Sophia’s Greek Pantry North.

Just months after ArtUp Lowell installed nine murals across four neighborhoods, Project LEARN and partners organized a community input session to hear directly from residents.

Over a four-day span, speakers visited 58 classrooms, impacting more than 1,250 students them during our annual Career Speaker Week in March. 2023
