Inspired By Students, Powered By Community
Lowell, MA – Project LEARN is excited to share the success of its 2024 Annual Appeal thanks to the incredible generosity of its donors. As the organization reflects on their 2024 accomplishments, they’re celebrating not only the funds raised, but the students who were empowered thanks to the support of the Lowell community and beyond.
“We’re deeply grateful to our donors, stakeholders, and partners who share Project LEARN’s vision of creating equitable career-connected learning opportunities for Lowell’s future leaders,” said LZ Nunn, Executive Director of Project LEARN. “Your contributions enable our team to continue creating programs that inspire innovation, foster positive development, and unlock pathways to success for our young people.”
This year, Project LEARN would like like to extend a heartfelt thank you to some of its most long standing supporters, Nancy Donahue, the Neylon Family, Eric Huang, and Pierre de Villers, whose generosity has funded dynamic programs like ArtUp Lowell, Commencement 2 Careers Internships, Harvard MEDScience, and IDEA Camp.
Project LEARN would also like to honor its corporate partners UKG, The Aubert J. Fay Charitable Fund, and The Ayer Home whose annual contributions continually provide essential support for their workforce development and STEM exploration programs, enabling Lowell students to dream big as they embark on the path towards their future career.
In 2024 the continued support of donors allowed Project LEARN to provide:
100 students & recents grads in paid internships to gain real-life work experience through Commencement 2 Careers, plus new laptops thanks to a partnership with AT&T;
75 future medical professionals with the skills necessary for entry level life-sciences careers;
140 young entrepreneurs with connections to UMass Lowell’s Diffencemaker program to help incubate their businesses ideas;
200 aspiring scientists in grades 5-12 with interactive STEM workshops during IDEA Camp; and
1,250 Lowell High Schools students with face-to-face connections with local professionals during Career Speaker Week.
Project LEARN recognizes that these milestones are only possible because of the collective dedication of its community of supporters. Their contributions do more than just fund programs, they empower Lowell students to aim high in their goals for the future, and enable them with the framework to make them a reality, too.
Project LEARN invites you to join their mission, whether through donating, volunteering, or creating new connections, and help build a brighter future for Lowell youth.
