Inspiring & Equipping Lowell
Students for College, Career & Life.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create an immersive citywide ecosystem of college- and career-connected learning, training, and credentialing experiences that positively impact the lives of Lowell’s young people.
Our Vision
At Project LEARN, we believe that every young person in Lowell acquires the education, skills, and social capital to achieve their full potential.
Our Equity Commitment
While Project LEARN has been focused on equity since its inception, our organization has adopted a more explicit emphasis on antiracism and educational justice in recent years.
In March 2021, Project LEARN’s board of directors approved the following resolution:
“It is hereby resolved that Project LEARN is committed to promoting equity, inclusion, and antiracism through:
Cultural competency and antiracism education and training;
Equitable and inclusive funding, fundraising, and purchasing decisions;
Diverse racial representation at all levels of Project LEARN governance;
Student, family, and educator involvement in policy and program design; and
Advocacy for policies that improve equitable access and outcomes to high-quality educational programs for racial and ethnic minorities.”
Project LEARN will evaluate progress on the above resolution through a biannual evaluation of organizational policies, programs, and practices.
Our Plan
We’re excited to share our 2025-2027 Strategic Plan, which follows months of listening to the students, families, and educators we serve along with a deep reflection of our values.
Our work is grounded in promoting more equitable access to opportunity through increased investment in innovative, educational programs and initiatives that are fully integrated with the goals of Lowell Public Schools, the needs of the Greater Lowell community, and the direction of the future workforce.
Engage. Enrich. Inspire.
