Announcing Project LEARN’s New Look

After months of behind-the-scenes work, we are overjoyed to announce that Project LEARN has a brand-new logo and website!

When we embarked on our rebranding process, the team at Project LEARN knew that we wanted to keep the essence and symbolism of our old branding intact. Our former logo depicted a recognizable local landmark, the Aiken Street Bridge, which was constructed in 1883.

The Aiken Street Bridge, also called the Ouellette Bridge, is the second-oldest lenticular truss bridge in the state of Massachusetts, and the longest lenticular-truss bridge in the United States. Source: Library of Congress.

Our new branding maintains a representation of the iconic bridge, which has signified, for Project LEARN, our efforts to help “bridge” gaps and obstacles that have historically impeded the ability of Lowell graduates to successfully transition into college or career opportunities.

In our new logo, a minimalist version of the Aiken Street Bridge remains, but we’ve widened the aperture to include other features of Lowell’s unmistakable skyline and cityscape.

The new brand elegantly captures even more of what makes Lowell, Lowell, while also simplifying and modernizing the design elements and color scheme.

"The Project Learn brand has undergone a beautiful transformation! The new identity satisfies all of the existing expectations of what our original iconic and recognizable mark stands for, while simultaneously moving the brand forward and representing the future aspirations of Project Learn.” —Siddhi Shah Chhoeng, Board Member and Chair of the Marketing and Programs Committee

Our new branding also gives us an array of design options and flexibility we never had before. Our logo can be used in traditional ways, of course, but the logo is just one component of an exciting new branding system.

WOW: Check out those business cards!
